Okay, you guys, if you’re anything like me, you can’t always order take out/delivery because sometimes you’re broke af after buying those overpriced oversized sunglasses for hangover mornings.

Good News: you can make a delicious, easy honey garlic chicken teriyaki at home thanks to this recipe. Also, since it’s colorful and looks like hard work, you can impress him with your cooking skills before snuggling into bed and “watching a movie.” This dish has everyone ooing and ahhing. Pun intended. Smart Girls, this is my go-to recipe for date night, and now, I’ve passed it on to you. You’re welcome.

P.S. If you’re into the whole vegan fad, you can totally sub in the chicken for tofu or just add more vegetables.

WHAT YOU NEED

  • Canola oil
  • One chopped onion
  • Garlic cloves or garlic powder
  • Broccoli
  • Chicken breast cut into cubes
  • Teriyaki marinade (I chose Garlic Honey)
  • Sugar
  • Water
  • Salt & pepper

WHAT TO DO

  1. Heat two tablespoons of canola oil on pan
  2. Add chopped onion
  3. Wait for onion to get the golden glow we all want and add the cubed chicken breast
  4. Let chicken breast cook until bronze (4 minutes) and season with salt & pepper to taste
  5. Pour teriyaki Garlic Honey marinade over chicken and let simmer
  6. Add broccoli, a pinch of sugar, and garlic powder.
  7. Mix that sh*t
  8. Let simmer and serve over white rice (or brown if its summer) on a cute Chinese/Japanese styled plate

Recipe serves four regular people or two that are hungry af.

Kisses,

SGK
